Installation Standards for Outdoor Fixed Basketball Hoop
1. Foundation Excavation Standard
Dig a square foundation pit with a size of at least 80cm × 80cm × 100cm. Remove loose soil inside the pit and compact the bottom layer. Lay gravel for drainage to prevent water accumulation and pole rust.
2. Concrete Pouring Standard
Use C30 reinforced concrete for pouring. Place 4–8 steel bars around the embedded pole for reinforcement. Keep the verticality of the main pole within ±0.5° during concrete solidification. Allow at least 7 days of natural curing before installing the backboard and rim.
3. Height Standard (Official FIBA Standard)
Standard competition height: 3.05m from the ground to the top edge of the basketball rim
Youth adjustable height range: 2.35m–3.05m
The backboard center shall be 15cm above the rim.
4. Backboard Installation Standard
Keep the backboard vertical and parallel to the sideline of the court. The horizontal distance from the backboard surface to the baseline is 1.2m. Tighten all connecting bolts evenly to avoid deformation and shaking during dunking.
5. Anti-Corrosion & Safety Standards
All buried steel parts must be wrapped with anti-rust coating or plastic protective sleeves. The main support pole shall be 1.5m away from pedestrians to avoid collision injuries. The pole surface uses electrostatic powder coating for outdoor anti-UV and anti-rust performance.
6. Court Space Matching Standard
No obstacles within 2 meters around the basketball stand. Reserve sufficient buffer space for athletes to run and jump to ensure sports safety.
7. Post-Installation Inspection
Check verticality, bolt tightness, rim elasticity and backboard stability. Shake the stand with moderate force; no obvious shaking or abnormal deformation is allowed.
